James "Jimmy" Edward Kirby, Sr., age 84, of White Plains, MD passed away on July 27, 2015. Born on November 16, 1930 he was the son of the late Oscar and Maude Kirby. He was also predeceased by his brothers, Gene Kirby, Kenneth Kirby, and Allen Kirby and his great grandson, Dylan Raymond.

James was the loving husband of 62 years of Shirley M. Kirby whom he married September 13, 1952 in Clinton, MD. He is also survived by his sons, James E. Kirby, Jr. and his wife Janet, Jerry L. Kirby and his wife Debbie; his sister, Connie Kirby of Arizona; and his grandchildren, James D. Kirby and his wife Jill, Jennifer Adams and her husband Jason, Wendy Garner and her husband Brian, Jeremy Kirby and his wife Bridgett, Jacob Kirby and his wife Rebecca, and Jason Kirby. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.

Friends will be received on Thursday, July 30, 2015 from 5-8PM and where funeral service will be held on Friday, July 31, 2015 at 10AM at Raymond Funeral Service Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646. Interment at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Waldorf, MD. Pallbearers: James D. Kirby, Brian Garner, Garrett Raymond, Jacob Kirby, Jeremy Kirby, and Jason Kirby.
