Tanya Lee Pfister, 45, of Lexington Park, MD passed away Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Hospice House of St. Mary's in Callaway, MD, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 22, 1970 in Wiesbaden, Germany to Lee Dennis Olsen of Wilbraham, MA and Janice Robbins Christensen of Arnold, MD.

Tanya is a 1988 graduate of Broadneck High School and a graduate of University of Maryland College Park, MD with degrees in Elementary Education and Software Engineering. She was employed by the Department of Defense at Patuxent River Naval Air Center as a Software Engineer. She was an avid reader. She was also an accomplished knitter, dying and spinning yarn, and knitting many beautiful pieces. She was a member of the Ravelry, a community knitting group.

In addition to her beloved husband, Thomas Pfister of Lexington Park, MD, she is also survived by her parents and step-parents, Lee and Sandra Olsen of Wilbraham, MA and Janice and Raymond J. Christensen of Arnold, MD; and her children, Andrew and Alex Pfister of Lexington Park, MD.

Family will receive friends for Tanya's Life Celebration on Saturday, August 15, 2015 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., with a Memorial Service celebrated by Pastor Thomas Krepps at 3:00 p.m. at Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A., 22955 Hollywood Road, Leonardtown, MD 20650. Interment will be private.
