Stephen Ziegler, 70, of Waldorf, MD died July 2, 2015 at his residence. Stephen was born September 29, 1944 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Herman and Mary (Fishman) Ziegler.

Stephen graduated from Stuyvesant High School in 1962. He got his undergraduate degree in Psychology from the State University of New York at Buffalo, where he played on the hockey team as a goalie. He earned his Doctor of Dental Science Degree from the College of Dentistry at Howard University in Washington, DC. Being stationed at Lackland AFB, San Antonio, TX, he served for 6 years in the United States Air Force, earning the rank of Captain. He practiced dentistry for over 40 years and he served as a president for the Southern Maryland Dental Association. He served on the Charles County Board of Education from 1994 to 1998. He was a member of Victory Christian Ministries International, Suitland, MD.

Stephen was survived by one son, David A. Ziegler and his wife K.K., two daughters; Elizabeth M. Ziegler and her boyfriend Donald Woodke and Alison J. Belleau and her husband Grant, one brother Herb Ziegler and his wife Marilyn, six grandchildren, one niece, one nephew and the mother of his children Cathy Ziegler.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 10, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Victory Christian Ministries International, 3911 St. Barnabas Road, Suitland, MD 20746. Inurnment will be at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD at a later date. Arrangements provided by Raymond Funeral Service.
