Ward Ames Albro, Sr., 70, of Mechanicsville, MD, passed away at his home on June 13, 2015. He was born in Washington, DC on October 29, 1944. He was the son of the late Edward Ames Albro and the late Louise Frances Cave. Ward was predeceased by his son, Ward Ames Albro, Jr. "Jay"; sister, Darlene Bernice Record, father-in-law, Charles Jackson Lambert.

Ward enjoyed archery, golf, weight lifting, slot machines, playing the guitar, singing and being with family. He was a sports fan and loved the Washington Redskins.

Ward is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Brenda Louise Lambert Albro; daughters, Vicki Louise Albro DeFelice of Kingston, TN, Cindi Denise Albro Smolarsky (Mark) of Martinsburg, WV; daughter-in-law, Deborah Albro of Huntingtown, MD; sister, Karen Elizabeth Garvey of Florida; 11 grandchildren, Joshua, Matthew, Justin, Samantha, Ashleigh, Ryan, Cassidy, Jacob, Alyssa, Emma, Amber; and 1 great grandchild, Scarlet. Ward is also survived by Gladys Lambert (mother-in-law) and many other relatives and friends. In addition, Ward his survived by his best little friend "Inkki".

After serving in the U.S. Air Force in, Ward spent his career as a Security Consultant. He was the owner of A&A Security.

The family will receive friends for Ward's Life Celebration on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 from 2:00 – 5:00p.m. at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD. A Funeral Service will be held on June 17, 2015 at 4:00p.m. at Brinsfield-Echols. Interment will be on Friday, June 19, 2015 at 1:00p.m. at Mountain View Cemetery, 1019 E. Valley Drive, Bristol, VA 24201. Contributions can be made to Hospice of St. Mary's County, P. O. Box 625, Leonardtown, MD 20650. Arrangements provided by Brinsfield Funeral Home.
