On the morning of Monday, June 8, 2015, beloved daughter, sister and aunt, Suzanne Maria Bowman departed this world to begin her eternal reward with her Savior. Ms. Bowman, age 62, passed at Southern Maryland Hospital with complications that began from the onset of pneumonia.

Ms. Bowman, affectionately referred to as "Sister Suzie," was born on May 17, 1953 in Charleston, South Carolina, and was the oldest child of Richard and Gloria Bowman, Sr. of Waldorf, MD. Suzie began her education at St. Maurs School in Yokohama, Japan, and later in Leonardtown Elementary School. Upon the family settling in Waldorf, her education therein continued and she was a part of the first graduating class of Thomas Stone High School where she graduated at the top of her class. Suzie later attended Charles County Community College.

In Suzie's early years, she worked at the Waldorf Public Library, the Museum of Natural History, the Naval Base at Indian Head and Ft. Meade. She was a long-time resident of Charles County and an active parishioner of St. Peter's Catholic Church where she enjoyed her time praying and studying with their women's group. Suzie had a servant's heart for the poor spending her time delivering goods to Catholic Charities and working at St. Peter's food pantry. She always had a happy disposition and was sympathetic and thoughtful to others. Suzie was devoted to the Blessed Trinity and Our Blessed Mother interceding for her family and all those in need especially praying the rosary for the unborn, the Divine Mercy Chaplet for the sick and dying, and praying for the Holy Souls in purgatory. Suzie would light up when speaking of the Two Hearts.

Suzanne was preceded in death by her younger sister, Claudia Elizabeth Hodge, of Savannah, Georgia. She is survived by her parents, Richard and Gloria Bowman, brothers Christopher and Richard Bowman, sister-in-law Christine Bowman, nephews Jerry Hodge and Jack Bowman, nieces Lydia and Sarah Bowman, and great nieces Rachel and Claudia.

Funeral arrangements are conducted by Huntt Funeral Home of Waldorf. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, June 17th, at St. Peter's Catholic Church from 10-11 am with a funeral Mass at 11 am followed by burial at St. Peter's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Catherine Foundation, 3065 Old Washington Rd., Waldorf, MD 20601.
