Jewell Picco, 66, of Hollywood, MD, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2015 in her home after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Born on March 8, 1949 in Salyersville, KY Jewell was a daughter of the late Luther and Ollidene Arnett Caudill.

On June 23, 1990, Jewell married her beloved husband, Leo Picco at Hughesville Baptist Church. Together, they celebrated 25 years of marriage.

Jewell was employed as a Staff Auditor for Transamerica Insurance (formerly Monumental Life) in Baltimore, MD for 22 years. She was involved with and on the Board of Directors for Hughesville Baseball Association, specifically during the transition from Hughesville to Oak Ridge Park.

She enjoyed vacationing in Las Vegas, Key West, Aruba and St. Martín. Most of all, Jewell enjoyed laughing and being surrounded by her family.

In addition to her parents, Jewell was preceded in death by her brother; Luther (Cokie) Caudill Jr. and her niece, Kelly Sullens. She is survived by her husband, Leo Picco; sister, Jeanette Sturgill of Wheelersburg, OH; daughter, Jolene Burger (Joseph); son, Justin (Jeb) Ferrall (Kristine) and daughter, Kristy Burrell (Ryan) as well as grandchildren; Shelby Buckler, Jacob Buckler, Taylor Tennyson, Alex Burrell, Peyton Wingate, Jordan Ferrall, Charly Buckler, Connor Ferrall, Sadie Burrell, and Bryson Burrell.

The family will receive friends for Jewell's Visitation on Thursday, June 11, 2015 from 2pm–4pm and 6pm–8pm at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. A Funeral Service will be at 7pm on Thursday, June 11, 2015 with Pastor Dave Huffman officiating. A Committal Service and Interment will be at 11am on Friday, June 12, 2015 at Trinity Memorial Gardens, 3221 Mattawoman Beantown Road, Waldorf, MD 20601.
