Teresa Ann Soares, 71, of Mechanicsville, MD formerly of Waldorf, MD passed away peacefully May 22, 2015. Born January 28, 1944 in Hughesville, MD she was the daughter of George Gregor Fassel Sr. and Agnes Adele Buckler Fassel.

Teresa enjoyed cooking, country music, dancing, and shopping on QVC. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend.

Teresa was predeceased by her parents; husband, Albert Joseph Soares, Sr.; son, Albert Joseph Soares, Jr.; four brothers and four sisters. She is survived by son, Jack Soares (Debbie); daughters, Victoria Gray (Glenn) and Kim Heiss (Hugh); brothers, George Gregor Fassel Jr. and John Fassel; 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends for Teresa's Life Celebration on Thursday, May 28, 2015 from 2:00 – 4:00p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00p.m. at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Rory T. Conley on Friday, May 29, 2015 at 11:00a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 13715 Notre Dame Place, Bryantown, MD 20617. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
