John "Jack" Suter Jones III, 70, of Mechanicsville, MD passed at his residence on May 1, 2015 surrounded by his immediate family. Born October 1, 1944 in El Paso, Texas he was the son of the late John Suter Jones II and the late Beatrice Hewitt Jones.

Jack served 20 years in the U.S. Navy and was a Vietnam Veteran. After retiring from the Navy in1981, he moved to Mechanicsville where he recently retired after 35 years with Eagle Systems. Jack enjoyed camping, riding his Harley Davidsons, and was an avid Civil War buff. He was very adventurous; he loved travelling and trying new things. Jack was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and Cowboys fan!

Jack is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Lee Jones; son, John Suter Jones, IV; daughter, Amy Louise Jones Adams; sister, Sue Weaver; brother, Keith Jones; 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Family and friends will follow the funeral procession from Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A. 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622 at 2:30 pm for a Committal Service at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Waldorf, MD on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 for the Interment.
