Mary Cecelia "Ceil" Milstead, 98, of Hughesville, MD passed away on April 5, 2015, at The Hospice House of Charles County in Waldorf, MD. Born on January 6, 1917, in Charlotte Hall, MD to the late Arthur and Della Huntington, she graduated from Hughesville High School in 1934.

She married her husband, Hampton B. Milstead, in 1938, and they were happily married for nearly 65 years until his death in 2003. While her husband was serving in World War II, Ceil worked at the Naval Facility in Indian Head, MD. The rest of her life was spent as a mom and homemaker, and she excelled at both.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her two brothers, Benedict and Cleveland Huntington, and her sister, Kathleen Hardesty. Ceil is survived by her daughter, Elaine Yeager and her husband Donald, her son David Milstead and his wife Diane, two grandchildren, three nieces and two nephews, as well as many friends.

Visitation will be on Sunday, April 12, 2015, from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm with prayers at 7:00 pm at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. Burial will be at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery on Monday, April 13, 2015, at 10:15 am.
