Michael "Mikie" Anthony Carpenter, age 27 of Indian Head, MD, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2015 at his home.

Mikie is survived by his loving wife, Heather Carpenter, who was his high school sweetheart; his mother, Brenda Carpenter and her companion Mike; his father, Hershel Carpenter, Jr. and his wife Karen; his grandmothers, Barbara Herbert and Linda Buckler; his great grandmother, Mary Myers; his uncle, Joe Herbert and his wife Dianna; his aunt, Tina Lawson and her husband Tim; his sisters, Vanessa Simms, Stephanie and Alexis Carpenter; and his brothers, Andrew and Jacob Carpenter. He is also survived by numerous cousins and other relatives. He was predeceased by his grandfather, Clark Buckler.

Mikie loved fishing, especially with his best friend, his dog Lilly. He enjoyed listening to all types of music and spending time with his family and pets. He looked forward to going to Myrtle Beach every summer with his wife. He had a generous heart and would help anybody in need. He quickly made friends with anyone he met.

Friends received on Friday, April 10, 2015 from 5-8PM with a Memorial Service at 7PM at the Raymond Funeral Service Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Charles County Humane Society. Arrangements provided by Raymond Funeral Service.
