Gregory Ray Armstrong, age 58, of La Plata, MD, died on March 21, 2015 at the Charles County Hospice House in Waldorf, MD.

Gregory was a Retired Master Chief with the United States Navy, having served 20 years. Following his retirement from the Navy, he worked for the Department of Defense with EOD as Director of Underwater and Special Missions Support. He was a member of New Life Church in La Plata. He loved cycling, his church, and his family and friends.

He is the son of the living Harold Ray Armstrong and the living Katherine Louise Pugh Armstrong. He is predeceased by his son, Ian Armstrong. He is also survived by his wife of 31 years, Robin L. Armstrong; his daughter, Caitlin L. Armstrong; his brothers, Brad Armstrong and John Hilton and his wife Dee; his sisters, Terry Mahoney and her husband Joe and Sherry Blakley; and his grandson, Giovanni Armstrong.

Friends received on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 from 2PM until time of Funeral Service at 4PM at the New Life Wesleyan Church, 9690 Shepherds Creek Place, La Plata, MD. Interment will be private.
