Dorothy "Dot" Frances Yarbrough, 97, of Bryans Road, MD passed away on March 21, 2015 at her home. Dorothy was born on August 6, 1917 in Baltimore, MD. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Koebel) Musil.

Dorothy is also predeceased by her beloved husband, John Marcus Yarbrough; daughter, Carol Thomas; brother, Bud Musil and sister, Shirley Shackleford.

Dorothy is survived by daughter, Joan Moulton (Ralph); son, John Yarbrough (Suzanne); and son-in-law, John Thomas, Sr.; grandchildren, Christian (Erin), James (Catherine), Mark (Dee) and Elizabeth Moulton and Beth Phelps and John Thomas, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Sarah and Daniel Thomas, Alexis, Simeon, Nicholas, Basil, Emily, Luke and Elizabeth Moulton.

Dorothy liked gardening, particularly rose gardening. She also enjoyed baking (delicious) Christmas cookies, fruitcake and cooking crab cakes. Above all, family was very important to Dorothy and she took great pleasure in spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be missed by many.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM, with prayers starting at 7:00 PM at Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, 211 St. Mary's Ave., LaPlata, MD. Interment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements provided by Arehart-Echols Funeral Home.
