Patricia Mae (Smith) Carnes, 88, of La Plata, MD passed into God's hands on March 9, 2015 at Sagepoint in La Plata, MD.

Pat was the loving wife of exactly 64 years to Paul Carnes on the very same day she passed. She loved taking care of her family, reading, gardening, birds, cats, dogs, watching golf, the Redskins
and Judge Judy.

She was born in South Dakota and lived with a strong pioneer spirit. Her grandson Justin remembers her "as a very strong woman that loved her 'greats'." She will always be loved and never forgotten.

She was the daughter of the late Charles Lester Smith and the late Ethel Isota Ellison Smith. She was also predeceased by her son, Alan Carnes; brother, Lester Smith; and sister, Louise Miller. She is survived by her husband, Paul Carnes; son, Jamie Carnes; daughter, Deborah McManus and husband, Michael; her grandchildren, Justin Carnes and Lauren Cross; her step-grandchildren, Kelly Stevens and Kimberly Beckett; and her great-grandchildren, Blake, Charlotte, Austin and Sophia.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, March 13, 2015 from 10:00AM until time of Funeral Service at 12:00PM at Raymond Funeral Service Chapel, 5636 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646. Interment will follow at the Trinity Memorial Gardens in Waldorf, MD. Proceeding the internment, family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life at the Resident's Club, Villages of Steeplechase, La Plata, MD.
