Frances Naomi Nicholson of La Plata, Maryland died on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at her home. She was 79 years old. Born on October 30, 1935 Hughesville, Maryland she was the daughter of the late Mary Alice Wenk and the late Julian Jenkins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three brothers, James Rudolph Jenkins, Joseph Lawrence Jenkins and Julian Carlyle Jenkins.

Mrs. Nicholson was an at-home family day care provider. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her kids and her cats.

She is survived by her children David G. Nicholson, Laurie Rafanello and her husband Paul; her granddaughter Amy Medrano Register; her great grandchildren Arayana Register and Larry Register Jr.; her sister Lucille Dyson; also survived by her two nieces.

Family and friends to gather on Saturday, February 7, 2015 from 2PM until time of Service at 4PM at the Raymond Funeral Service, P.A. 5635 Washington Avenue La Plata, MD 20646. A private interment will take place at a later date.
