Takako Ono McClain, age 74, of Waldorf, MD, passed away Friday, January 9, 2015, at her home. She was the beloved wife of Thomas McClain whom she was married to for 50 years. Takako was born on November 16, 1940 and grew up near Tokyo, Japan. She was the daughter of the late Ichiro and Kin Ono.

Besides her husband, Takako leaves behind her three children, John McClain of Waldorf, Frank McClain and his wife Michele of Waldorf, Marie Forrest and her husband Steven of Bel Air and two grandchildren, Ryan and Meghan Forrest. She is also survived by her siblings, Thugio Ono, Seichiro Ono, Michiko Watanabe and Fukie Yokoyama all of Japan and several nieces and nephews.

Takako was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking and fishing with her husband Thomas but most of all she loved spending time with her family. At the time of her death, she was retired.

At Takako's request, the funeral and burial will be a private event for immediate family only. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Judes Children Hospital. Arrangements provided by Huntt Funeral Home.
