Charlotte Marie Ellis, 85, of Leonardtown, MD, died on December 6, 2014 at MedStar St. Mary's Hospital, Leonardtown, MD. Born on August 12, 1929, in WV she is the daughter of the late Charles E. McCoy and Ella Elizabeth Bennett.

Charlotte is a 1948 graduate of Great Mills High School. She was employed by Bank of America as an executive assistant until her retirement. She also spent many years involved in local politics in Syracuse, NY. She enjoyed entertaining, gardening and was a gourmet cook. She also enjoyed playing BINGO at Little Flower School in Great Mills, MD.

Charlotte is survived by her brother, Gary Wayne McCoy of Leonardtown, MD; her nephews, Charles Curtis Peterson of Highlands, NC and Rhodes Timothy Andrews of Elizabethton, TN; and extended family. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her sister, Virginia Rose Fassbach.
