Thomas "Tommy" Everett Wenk, 71, of Charlotte Hall, MD passed away on December 1, 2014 at University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center in La Plata, MD. He was born on January 12, 1943 in Spring Hill, MD to the late Charles Worthy Wenk and the late Leona Virginia (Ryce) Wenk.

He worked for the State Highway Administration for 25 years before retiring in 1999. Tommy enjoyed hunting and playing cards every Friday night.

Tommy is survived by his wife of 50 years, Edith "Edie" Deloris (Nelson) Wenk; children, Cindy Hayes (John) and Wendy Wenk; brother, Bobby Wenk; sister, Audrey Murphy (Robert); and granddaughter, Deloris Hayes.

Family and friends will be received for Tommy's Life Celebration on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with prayers beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. A Mass will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 28297 Old Village Road, Mechanicsville, MD 20659. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens, 3221 Mattawoman-Beantown Road, Waldorf, MD 20601. Pallbearers will be: John Hayes, Joseph Carroll, III, Michael Quade, Tommy Norsworthy, Leon Larson and Leon Higgs.
