Michael Raymond Willett, "Mike" 59, died on December 2, 2014 at his home in Port Tobacco, MD. He was born on August 2, 1955 in La Plata, MD to Doris Jean Willett and the late Clarence Raymond Willett.

He is survived by his wife Jacqueline Evelyn Shughart Willett, daughter Laura Thorne (David), grandchildren Shannon Thorne and David Thorne, Jr.

Mike was a self-employed plumber and a truck driver for Chaney Enterprises. He was a Life member of the Accokeek Fire Department and the Charles County Medic Unit. He was a member of the Allentown Rd., Brandywine, Indian Head and Marbury Volunteer Fire Departments. He was also a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 82 and the Moose Lodge 1709. Some of the things he enjoyed were NASCAR, politics, baseball and he loved his dogs, Cooper and Chance.

The family will celebrate Mikes life on Monday, December 8, 2014 from 4 to 8 PM with a Fireman's service 7 PM at the Accokeek Fire House. A Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 11 AM at the Old Durham Church, Ironsides, MD. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.
