Florence Elizabeth Lindamood, 91, of Waldorf, MD died Monday, October 27, 2014 at Genesis Waldorf Center. She was born May 16, 1923 in Round Hill, Virginia. She was one of 18 children born to the late Henry J. Whitmer and Amie Leonard-Whitmer.

In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her husband Allen Rush Lindamood, Sr. and two daughters; Betty Ann Durrer and Margaret Dodson.

Florence is survived by one son Allen Rush Lindamood, Jr., two daughters; Eunice Lanahan and her husband Raymond and Doris Covey and her husband Glen, 15 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.

She was a loving; wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She was a member of TOPS (Take off Pounds Sensibly) and a former member of the Waldorf Fire Department ladies auxiliary. She loved animals, especially wild ones, flowers and babies. She enjoyed word search puzzles, gardening, listening to country music and embroidery.

A visitation will be on Friday, October 31, 2014 from 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:30 AM at Raymond Funeral Service, 5635 Washington Ave., La Plata, MD 20646.
