Marion "Bookie" Eugene Bookwalter, 66, of Mechanicsville, MD died peacefully on October 21, 2014. Born on June 4, 1948 in Mount Union, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Junior Miles and Betty Tate Bookwalter.

Marion loved to fish and hunt. He enjoyed riding his four wheeler and visiting his neighbors. He was also known as the local weatherman, always staying informed on the weather.

Marion is survived by his wife, Mary Bookwalter, his children, Billy Bookwalter (Willa) of Mechanicsville, MD, Danni Sue Quade of Pennsylvania, Amy Lee Howell (Paul) of Lusby, MD, Rebecca Ann Bookwalter of Mechanicsville, MD, David Marion Bookwalter (Crystal) of Mechanicsville, MD and thirteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Marion is preceded in death by his parents, a brother and sister.

A memorial service will be held on November 1, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, 27108 Mt. Zion Church Road, Mechanicsville, MD. A reception will follow in the church hall.
