| Abstract: |
By Robert E.T. Pogue. Yesterday in Old St. Mary's County is more than a record of one of America's first Atlantic ettlements. It is the love story of a man's life spent along the bays and creeks and in the woods and fields of Southern Maryland. |

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Born in Southern Maryland a few years after the turn of the century, Robert E.T. Pogue spent virtually his entire life in the same location. His maternal ancestors arrived in Maryland with the early colonists. His paternal ancestors helped settle Virginia, North Carolina, and Tennessee. Both sides of the family fought in the Revoultionary War and for the Southern cause in the War Between the States.
With his background, and the material he has accumulated from many of his ancestors, it is apparent that he is well qualified to tell the true stories in this book.
