Southern Maryland Traditional Music and Dance
Southern Maryland Traditional Music and Dance (SMTMD) is a not-for-profit 501 (c) (3) civic organization formed to preserve and promote the appreciation and performance of traditional and contemporary folk music and dance. SMTMD presents Concerts and acoustic Open Mic nights through the monthly HomeSpun CoffeeHouse series, as well as sponsoring a monthly Contra Dance. We are an all-volunteer, membership-supported organization. Many members provide talent and volunteer help at benefits and area events.
