BSA promotes character development, education, citizenship, leadership, and physical and mental fitness. The BSA program includes outdoor activities and numerous camping opportunities. The group also serves church, school, and community organizations. Tiger Cubs is a program for boys in the first grade. Cub Scouts is for boys in grades 2 - 5. Boy Scouts are young men ages 10 1/2 - 18. Explorers are young men and women ages 14 - 20 interested in career orientation and youth fellowship. Various programs organized by age group.

Boy Scout Troop 908 meets Tuesday evenings at 7:00 pm at the American Legion Post 238 in Hughesville. Scoutmaster is Tom Rowe.
