The term Hospice comes from the medieval word for a place of shelter for travelers on a long or difficult journey. Today's Hospice provides care for those who are in the final phase of life's journey in the form of support for terminally ill patients and their families. The entire family is the unit of care. Hospice of Charles County is supported by gifts and donations and we are a United Way Agency. We depend upon financial contributions from individuals or organizations in the community in order to provide Hospice services in Charles County.
