Gateau Physical Therapy was opened in 1987 by Southern Maryland native, Bonnie Gateau. Gateau Physical Therapy started in a small 400 square foot office. In 1993 she expanded to St. Mary's County and opened an office in the Old Hollywood Fire Department. In 1995 She had a brand new 400 square foot building built in Lusby Maryland for her expanding practice. Gateau Physical Therapy now provides services of all types to the community including neurological rehabilitation, orthopedic rehabilitation, sports screenings and conditioning (individuals or groups), aquatic therapy, weight management and body fat analysis, pediatric physical therapy, urinary incontinence retraining, Functional Capacity Evaluations and Work Hardening and Total Golf Performance Enhancement. Gateau Physical Therapy continues to serve the community by supporting other activities such as Run for Hospice, and sponsoring an annual health fair.
