Coast Guard Searches For 73-Year-Old Man


BALTIMORE (July 27, 2008)—The Coast Guard is searching Dares Beach in the Chesapeake Bay for a missing 73-year-old man today.

Watch standers from Coast Guard Sector Baltimore received a call at 6 p.m. Saturday, that a catamaran had capsized and two people were in the water.

Calvert County Sheriff Department recovered one person and the second person is still missing. Coast Guard rescue crews from Coast Guard Station Oxford, Air Station Atlantic City N.J., Maryland Natural Resources Police and Calvert County searched throughout the night.

Station Oxford and Air Station Atlantic City are continuing with a first light search.
