LA PLATA, Md. - The La Plata Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.
On June 21, 2007, at approximately 7:16 p.m., Trooper R. Wilt was on routine patrol when he received a general broadcast for an assault in progress on southbound U. S. Route 301 in the area of Crossover. Upon Tpr. Wilt’s arrival, he observed two individuals in a verbal argument. The individuals were identified as William A. Wright and his wife Linda Mae Wright. The investigation revealed that William A. Wright, 23 years of Newburg, MD., assaulted his wife. W. Wright was placed under arrest and charged with second degree assault. W. Wright was transported to the Charles County Detention Center pending bond review.
