Traffic Stop Reveals Outstanding Warrants & Drugs


06/21/06 4:00 p.m. While traveling northbound on U.S. Rt. 301, south of Fairgrounds Road, Tpr. R. Hill conducted a random check of a Maryland tag being displayed on a vehicle traveling in the same direction. The computer check revealed that the tags were suspended for a vehicle emissions violation. A computer check of the driver, Corwin Jarod Miller, 27 years, of Fort Washington, revealed Mr. Miller had two warrants through the Charles County Detention Center for failure to appear. Mr. Miller was arrested and a search incident to arrest revealed suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was subsequently charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and incarcerated in the Charles County Detention Center pending a bond review.
